Sorry can I have a pp please

My son wants to be there when baby is born he will be 10 he said he wants to be there because he doesn’t want me to be alone 💝 not his responsibility which I have explained but he said he wants to be there anyway and wants to help cut the cord.
Now I’m in 2 minds I think it will be an amazing bonding opportunity and help him feel involved and hopefully a great educational experience for him hopefully he will grow up to have more respect for women (I’m a single mom, been a teen mom so his seen how hard its been for me to gain a job I love while raising him alone so he does have a lot of respect for what he does have n what I do anyway)
I also feel because his sister passed away during pregnancy he didn’t get to see her it was all of a big shock n rush so he feels he needs to be there for his baby brother more….
On the other hand having a baby is a very personal thing and while I think he would cope and be very mature about it all him seeing me in a pain that concerns me
Any one that’s had there child or been a child and seen a birth I’d love some advice and outcome of personal experience
