Sorry it’s long winded but I haven’t got anyone else to go to. Hi all I’m just looking for peoples opinions on wether or not I’m being harsh. I’ve got a four month old baby we tried for her for so long, since she’s been born I’ve been left doing everything for her my partner has never bathed her alone, or ever put her to bed she goes to bed at 8pm every night and goes off to sleep so I’m very lucky. Every time we have family events and there’s alcohol involved he seems to completely forget about the responsibility of our daughter and often tries to palm her off with his mother. He always gets carried away and he says I’m being unreasonable when I ask him not to drink more. I’ve had enough now there’s been four occasions were we were only supposed to be staying for an hour I ended up staying untill 11pm one night while he was enjoying himself and I was looking after our baby. I don’t really enjoy drinking and he knows that but and he takes full advantage, we’ve been to a funeral today but this person wasn’t even close family member, and he’s been out all night, using it as another excuse, and I feel as though I’ve just got to accept it as he’ll use the excuse that it was a funeral. I feel as though I’ve sacrificed everything for my baby girl but I feel as though he is still going on the way he was before. He takes around £100- £250 every time he goes out and I know he sometimes takes drugs so I make sure he’s away from my baby for 24 hours after he’s been out. I wanted to buy something new last week and he has the cheek to tell me I was wasting money. We both earn the same amount of money but the bills come out of my bank so I’m lucky to have £50 when everything is paid, yet he earns around £300 a week and just has it and doesn’t pay any bills out of it. He thinks its great because he used to go out every weekend before he got with me and since we’ve had the he’s only been out 6 times. I feel like I’m being mean and hard on him sometimes. There’s an 8 years age gap I’m only 23 and he’s 32 and I feel as though he should be looking after me not the other way around. Please let me know your honest opinions am I being unreasonable?
