I have a very close relationship with my daughter as I had her when I was young,she’s been through a hell of alot due to ill health and it’s caused her to grow up fast and taught me that life is too short,she’s 15 and has been very open (to me) about what goes on in private with her boyfriend,I don’t believe she’s at the stage of going ‘all the way’but have sat her down tonight and said that if she feels it’s coming to that time to let me know before hand so we can talk about contraception,I’ve explained that she needs to protect herself from pregnancy but also needs to take extra precautions because of stds and just because her boyfriend has only slept with one girl doesn’t mean that girl has only slept with him etc etc,please tell me I’ve done the right thing with her,i wouldn’t be entirely happy with her being sexual active but I felt as though it needed bringing up x
