This Plant Made My Dog So Sick She Died

I am writing this post to spread awareness and possible save another dogs life from the hell my Lola went through.
Last Friday we had to say goodbye to our 6 year old golden retriever Lola. Lola was known for always being so happy, bouncy and playful. On the 5th of August Lola ate poisonous berries called Lords and ladies. These berries are extremely toxic to dogs and are commonly found in gardens and hedges. On the same day Lola had her first ever fit on the way home from a walk.
The berries caused Lola to have epilepsy with regular fits, complete loss of eyesight, breathing problems, severe neurological brain damage, she had to have emergency surgery on her stomach, part of her tongue blistered off, memory loss (she didn’t know who I was for a couple weeks) and many other problems.

We worked very closely with our amazing vet John, we tried so many types of medication, some worked really well until she had another fit and we was back to square one.
Lola was in the vets for 4 weeks, we tried everything possible, we went to a specialist but the damage had already been done and she was deteriorating rapidly, from our vets advice it was unfair to keep her with us and she had suffered enough.
Please look out for these berries, I’ve had so many messages of people saying they’ve found them in their gardens. Please pull them out so your dog doesn’t have to go through hell and back like Lola did.
Lola leaving us has left a massive hole in our life’s, it is shocking how a berry can cause this much devastation. Now we are left to pick up the pieces for Lola’s daughter and twin sister ❤️ Rip Lola
