What it is is I’m looking for some advice…. I’m currently on Mat leave – due to go bak to work in the next couple of weeks. My partner left us a few months ago, myself and our 2 kids. And the only benefit I get right now is child benefit each month. I’m waiting on my work getting back to me with shifts but I don’t have any income right now. My ex has been paying the rent for the past 3 months but says he isn’t doing it anymore since he’s not living here which is fair enough so we’re going to take his name off the house tomorrow. But I’m wondering what do I do from there? I will have my flat and 2 kids with me only working 16 hrs a week and only getting child benefit each month what do I do? Who do I speak to? Would I be entitled to other benefits at all? I also have bills building up right now which I can’t pay and am really worried as they are just going to have to wait as I just don’t have any money to pay them (gas bill and council tax😕). Someone please help explain what I need to do from here I’m so stuck and need to get everything sorted asap xx
