Can have a private post please?
Ladies how do you all cope with loneliness? I am a single mummy to 2 wonderful girls but I am so lonely. I have hardly any friends that live near me in Coventry and I am struggling with ways to make friends. None of the mums at the school really talk to me and my ex partner drove away the few friends that I had. How do I make new friends any suggestions?

  • Are your children babies or toddlers if so use the children centre up to 5 years old. The groups / classes are good for making new friends. If they’re school age, try to make play dates. Go to the parties they’re invited too and join in conversations. Maybe get a part time job when in nursery onwards.

  • My heart goes out to you, feeling lonely is one of the most depressing n hardest feelings to deal/cope with… remember though you won’t always feel this way, I’ve been here many times I moved home didn’t know anybody school mothers had their own little friendship clicks. I found my children helped me, I have two boys n they arnt shy at coming forward, sometimes it’s a good conversation starter, have u tried local playgroups? Parks etc.. sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone n saying hi is the biggest step you can take ๐Ÿ˜Š
