Can I have a post please.
I’ve messaged in before about my partner doing naff all round the house and me feeling like his maid rather than his partner. Well things have still been up and down. I finished the relationship but said he would change so gave things another go. He did step up but things are slowly starting to slip back to how they were which doesn’t really surprise me to be honest. Recently his money situation has gone tits up really. Getting debts/solicitor letters from here there and everywhere and him not really seeing how serious this is as he has a ‘I’ll sort it tomorrow’ attitude about it. He doesn’t realise that it’s not just about him. The money is getting more and more with costs which is going to start eating into our bill expenses and I just can’t cope. We have 2 children and I don’t want this for them, I don’t want to have to tell them why strange people are coming into our house and taking our things (the rate it’s going I’m expecting bailiffs to turn up). It’s just not fair on them. I’ve tried being supportive and helping him sort them out, finding phone numbers, writing everything down so he knows what to say and even tried ringing up myself but they won’t speak to me due to data protection. I honestly don’t know how much more I can cope, my anxiety is through the roof and I don’t know where else to turn. I really do care about him but I just don’t think I can do this anymore. I feel so selfish coz I should be trying to find more ways of helping him but I just can’t seem to find any. What would other people do in my situation? Thank u xx
