  • U may feel ur body preparing for delivery, but u won’t feel baby’s actual head, & certainly not baby’s hair. U would have to have lost ur waters, have baby’s head out of the sack, be fully dilated & baby be majority of the way down the birth canal. U wouldn’t be on facebook asking the question if that was the case. Ring ur midwife if u have ANY concerns, but once ur in labour U’ll realise how far up baby is, & needs to travel/be pushed out.x

  • Baby’s head could just be fully engaged that causes ALOT of pressure and feels like you have a melon sitting down below πŸ˜‚ baby could just be pushing down and maybe labour will be soon x

  • I went through the same thing, rang the midwife thinking id had some kind of prolapse. Its normal everythings swelling and coming down and getting your body ready. I said it feels like every time I went to the toilet and wiped it felt like my babies head was there.

  • O gosh.. depends what u mean by “swollen” .. i guess it’s normal to an extent to feel abit of pressure.. but not to scare u by any means.. i had a friend who actually gave birth thinking she had to πŸ’©!! She can’t recall any major contractions or anything 😨 .. pretty envious as both mine were all hell breaking loose lol.. but if I were u.. I’d ring up and get checked over.. to me.. feeling the babys head dosnt quite sound right ! Good luck babe ! Xx

  • Yes it’s normal. She’s dropping into the birth canal. I’m 25wks 5d, and my doc could hold my daughters head in his hand if he were to put his entire hand in.

  • I’d say ring the hospital just to be sure that it’s not waters or anything x

  • I felt this about 5mins before my water broke at 38weeks. Had no contractions before it.

  • Is it your waters bulging? Your would have to have your hand rather far up to feel a head if your not fully dilated xx

  • I started to feel like this about a week before I gave birth! I felt like every time I relaxed to wee that he would just fall out! Sounds to me like little one is just getting in the right position! Any queries though, always best to contact midwife xxx
