Can I have a private post on whatever page is appropriate please? Basically just over 36 weeks and not sure if I’ve been having bad bh’s or what but now I have sharp shooting pains down below with a lot of pressure and its getting worse when baby moves😩 is this just him engaging or? Ftm x

Ahh bless, it’s horrible isn’t it😩 I haven’t seen midwife in a couple of weeks but was 3/5 last time I knew does that mean engaged, nowhere near engaged or what? I’m so clueless 😂 thankyou! X

No they don’t, my back is really painful at the moment too but baby had moved into a more back to back position last week so maybe why? I’ve taken paracetamol and had a bath but nothing helps😩 xx
Oh, I remember this all to well. I had lots of BH, pressure and the shooting pains. Basically, my midwife told me that my baby was fully engaged, head down and pressing down on a nerve in my area but also it was a sign that his head was lower down than expected. It was uncomfortable too at times especially when I got up or sat down in certain positions. All this sounds promising, so hopefully it won’t be long until bubs makes an appearance. Iv been like this past week with pains down there and now today oh been in agony with back ache, still painful now my last scan was last Wednesday and she couldn’t measure the head as he was so low down xx
Could be a little of both when ur nearly due the baby with sometimes more head now an the pressure can be uncomfortable
Does the pain ease when you move positions? If so it’s most likely bh x
