Can I have a private post please.
My daughter is 18 months old and is yet to sleep more than 3 hour blocks at night and it’s killing us. She was breastfed but weaned around 14 months. She now had a bottle to go to bed and I can put her down awake with it and she ll go to sleep. But she will only sleep for a couple of hours until she’s awake and wants another bottle to go back to sleep. Once midnight hits she will not go back to sleep in her own room and ends up in a spare bed at the side of our double, but even then she still wakes up every couple of hours and wants a bottle.

I’ve tried all sorts of sleep training but my main problem is if I leave her to cry she makes herself sick everywhere which obviously is then a mission in the middle of the night to change the bed, pj’s, towel on the floor.
I just don’t no what to do anymore.

Is anyone in the same boat or has any advice how to stop this cycle?
Thanks

  • My little girl was the same she would constantly make her self sick but my health visitor told me to stick with it and only give her one bottle of milk then if she needed more then it was water as she would soon get bored of the water and wouldn’t wake up it took a good few month but it worked I k ow it’s a nightmare having to listen to them crying or been sick but my health visitor told me you know it’s not because there I’ll or hurt it’s all for the attention xxxxxx

  • My little girl is the same I got rid of the cot she’s been in a bed now for 3 nights I’ve noticed she’s sleeping a bit better was always hitting the cot bars so hopefully it will gradually get better she’s 17 months and still expecting milk gone from 5 bottles to 3 so far x

  • Have you tried just staying with her while she falls asleep and not give her a bottle?
