Could I have a pp please?
I’ve been told I have low Papp-a and that indicates my placenta might not last 40 weeks, baby’s growth could be restricted, I could go into preterm labour and I could be at slightly higher risk of developing pre eclampsia. I have a growth scan booked for a few weeks time but I was wondering if anyone else has had this and what happened and if I can ask to be induced at 40 weeks (if I get that far) as I’m worried to go over after then saying the placenta might not work properly

My baby was small in scans and breech so was told a section had to have steroid injections and told to go back next day for a full scan for my section 5 days later. they seen my placenta stopped working at my scan the next day and i was sent straight up stairs and told my baby would be delivered that day i was 36+6 but my consultant said they would like to wait till next day 37 weeks i had another steroid injection bloods etc and had section next day baby was 37 weeks 4lbs 15oz with no problems at all x
I was induced at 37 weeks becos of the distance of the hospital we had to get to n history of fast births so am sure if u ask they can induce u early X
I was induced at 38+5 for the same reason. My daughter was IUGR but she was born 39+1, 6lb 6oz and perfectly healthy. She’s now 8 xx
You’ll likely be booked for induction sooner,I would imagine
