Could I have a private post please. My Lg is 18months old and hasn’t been her self since Thursday after breakfast she hasn’t been interested in food, drink or her Dummy since Thursday. I looked in her mouth Sunday and she has ulcers on the roof of her mouth , behind her bottom lip and a few on her tounge, Her tounge is also very white whenever she puts anything in her mouth she crys like she’s in pain. I took her to the doctors Monday and they said it looks like a viral infection / A little bit of tonsilitist her child minder said it could be hand foot and mouth but her hands have no blisters or any rash on her stomach. Doctors seem to think it’s not hand foot and mouth even though there is alot going around. I thought maybe thursh but she will not eat anything at all whenever she trys to eat she just crys. Her temp has been up and down around 36.5 -38 over the last few days. Does anyone have any advise or maybe know what it could be? She wakes up through the night every 2 hours screaming and she has always been a very good sleeper. I am going to go back to the doctors tomorrow. Thank you x

My little boys just recently had hand foot and mouth, and the doctors tried to tell me it was eczema. Luckily my mums a nurse and knew straight away! Don’t be deceived, hand foot and mouth doesn’t mean they have spots or a rash on hands feet and mouth at the same time. Mine just had spots around his mouth but just keep an eye on her. Don’t leave the doctors without an answer x
Definitely sounds like hand,foot and mouth to me,when my lb had it he wouldn’t eat or have his dummy,the Drs told me to give him very bland food cos of the blisters in his mouth. I would deffo go back to Drs tomorrow x
My son had had hand foot and mouth twice. 1st time it was in his mouth feet and hands and some on his body and bum. The other week when he had it it was only in his mouth. It’s so sore to look at mind it must be cruel for them x
Give her Calpol before bed it will help her temp also if her temp is goin up that much stick a fan in her room too Cool it down also don’t put anything heavy on her also during day give her jelly and Ice cream it will soothe the ulcers atleast she’s getting something inside her and it does sound like a viral infection if your really worried then go to a&e xxx
Sounds exactly like hand foot and mouth to me…try giving ice lollies…it’s horrible for them
Give ice cream something cool in her mouth . Give calpol going to bed for pain.
Go bk to dr and demand a treatment. Could it be thrush or hand foot and mouth. xx
