Hey, could I please have a private post?
Worried 1st time mum post. My little boy is 21 months. I’m a little worried about his speech, I would say he can maybe say around 15 words but isn’t stringing a sentence yet, which I know is normal. I know kids do things at their own pace etc etc, but I think what worries me is, when I take him on his weekly play dates, the other children (roughly the same age) seem to have more words than him.
My partner and I sit down every night after dinner and teach him words and read books. So it’s not as if he’s not being taught. He’s not a silly wee boy, he understands EVERYTHING you say to him, like, ‘take that to mummy’ ‘shall we go for a bath’ etc.
Could you all tell me when your kids started to talk properly?
