Hi can I have a ppp.
I work part time so don’t get paid a lot as it is. I’ve had neally 2 week off sick with my son who’s been really poorly then ended up with chicken pox so it’s longer now. Can I get a sick note from the doctors for myself so I can get sick pay or is there anything else I can do? And also can my manager do anything about my sickness when it’s down to my son & im a single parent so only myself to look after him. Tia xx

You won’t be able to get a sick note or sick pay as it’s your son not you that it is sick. Your absence should go down as time of for dependents. It is your company’s discretion if they allow you to use holiday. Normally it is unpaid
No. You can’t be given a sick note from your GP if it is not you that is sick. You are however legally entitled to ‘time off for care of dependants’, sadly though this doesn’t have to be paid. You may be able to negotiate with your manager that it goes down as lieu leave
