Hi can I have a private post please. I am a single mum of a 13 year old. I work 5 days a week up to 9 hours a day. This is normally a later shift. 10.30am- 6.30pm. So my day starts earlier due to school runs. I was wondering how other mums cope with the long days. I’m worried that my teens grades are slipping due to us being up late doing homework and us being tired. I have tried asking for another shift to help us both out. But keep getting the same response “we can’t make everyone happy” I’m trying to find other work but, can’t afford to loose this job. I feel frustrated when I can’t get time off work to take her to her appointments. Please help with some ideas to manage home and work and to know that there are other mums feeling like this as well. TIA
