Hi can I have a private post please!
My partner and I decided to have Christmas at his parents this year, last year we went to my family’s house and thought it was only fair to take it in turns. Also we have a little girl two weeks old, she is the only baby in my partners family so my in laws first grandchild so thought it would be nice for them to spend her first Christmas with them. My family completely understand and said we’ll see them Boxing Day. Anyway my inlaws house isn’t very big, and now they’ve invited other family to join so they’ll be 9 of us in total and 4 labradors!
It’s cramped enough when just me and my partner visit with our baby so thinking Christmas time is not going to be ideal! Also I’m not keen on the idea of her being around the dogs for so long (they are very well behaved, they just like to sniff her but I don’t like them being too close) I wouldn’t ever leave her unattended with the dogs so think it’s unfair someone will have to keep an eye on her and dogs all day and not relax!
I spoke to my parter and he agrees with me, so we suggested going to for a meal but the prices for Xmas day are ridiculous! Especially for 9 people. Anyway we decided against a meal, I’m still not happy about spending Xmas there but my parter says it’s only for 1 day I should just suck it up! Am I being silly about it? Sorry for the really long post 🙈
