Hi can I have a private post please. Sorry in advance it’s a long one.
In need of some advice really so basically I was my dad’s favourite child everyone knew and could see it, well he passed away in October last year and it’s been so hard to cope with, anyway fast forward to after Xmas my mum found a new partner and he is a genuinely nice guy well he’s now asked her to marry him (he knew everything about my dad etc) it’s not that I don’t want to see her happy it’s just so hard I didn’t think I’d have to go through anything like this for at least a while. My heads a mess I feel guilty for telling my mum it’s OK when I feel like its been 2 mins since he passed we don’t really bother with each other, we should, I know but I don’t see why I should make the effort with someone who seems they don’t even care. I’m struggling to come to terms with it. Anyone been through this that could offer some advice on how to overcome this feeling of guilt like I’m forgetting about him. Thank you xxx
