Hi could I have a private post please? I need help, my partner of 10 years just hit me and we’ve been having problems for a while.. we have a little boy who’s 2 years old and he saw his daddy hit me which makes me so upset, I’ve asked him to leave.. we’re renting and he works full time, I lost my job a couple of months ago so it’s him who has been supporting us with rent etc.. I honestly don’t know what to do, I can’t afford this rent it’s a lot and I know my partner will come back.. I want to get back into work again but I’ve got no one to look after my little boy so can anyone help me with advice on childcare rent etc please thank you x

Go to the council, they can help you pay the rent. You have the child so you have the right to the family home. It’s scary but you can do it. My husband left 18 months ago, just walked out 5 days before Christmas. I spent all the days up to Christmas at the council office and on the phone to tax credits. You’ll get help Hun x
Go council they will help by getting you on housing register and housing benifit if you claim benefits or go to claim benefits you’re entitled to 15 hours free childcare when your child turns 2 if you get a job sometimes the free hours go up to 30 hours c
Get yourself to the council , they can help you with housing.
So sorry this has happened. Definitely go yo the council. Also if you claim benefits I think you are entitled to 15 hours free child care when he is 2 1/2. Xx
