Hi could I have a private post too the mums advice private page please.
I currently live on my own with my son and I’m claiming as a single parent getting housing benefit, council tax reduction, income support and child benefit.
Me and my partner are back together and want too get a house together next month.
My question is when do I tell the council we are together .. Do I do it now or when we actually start viewing new houses ..
Just confused don’t want too do the wrong thing and loose out.
Also does anyone know what benefits I would be entitled too when I claim as a couple. My partner works 100 hours a week earning 3000-5000 a month.

Why would you need benifits if your partners earns that much x
More than likely nothing, 3-5k a month is well enough to live on without help. Also tell them now x
You wouldn’t get anything I don’t think
You’ll be entitled to no benefits!! Tell the council he’s there. Why would you want to when your partner earns enough.
