Hi, may I please have a private post ๐Ÿ˜Š
I’m 19 years old (20 in November) and I’ve been with my boyfriend for 1 1/2 years. We’ve spoken about the whole children and marriage thing and I know he’s the one. He treats me like a princess and we hardly argue. We live together as my relationship with my parents is horrible and lately I’ve been very upset with how our relationship has turned out. My partners been amazing and I honestly couldn’t cope without him. ๐Ÿ’• he is about to apply for a job where he works 3 days a work, 12 hour shifts and will earn over 2000 a month and I am looking for a TA job in a primary school. So we’ll be on a lot of money especially for my age of course. (He’s almost 23) and he’s said that he feels like if we had a child now, we’d be fine and it’d be good etc. I’ve said no to now as I’ve got 15 months of pills to get through (and I don’t feel emotionally ready to have a baby depend on me with the things that have happened with my family) and then I’ll be almost 21 instead. I’m just wondering how you guys new it would the right time to have a baby together and what did you discuss with you OH? Please be kind ๐Ÿ˜Š thankyou in advance x

  • I fell pregnant completely by accident and I’ll be 21 when my baby’s born, but I’ve never before found anything I’m properly good at or had a clear career path so I feel like being a mum is what I was just meant to do! You have ambition for a brilliant career and financially it could be better for you to be in your job a while before you decide to have a baby so you’re entitled to maternity leave etc don’t ever feel pushed into having a baby just because your partner is ready x

  • I think your being really responsible! Take your 15 months of pills (it’s only just over a year) will bring you up to 20, bf will have plenty of time to save and for you to start your career and then when the time comes u can have maternity leave etc. I was a mum at 18 and never had anything planned, my life is fantastic however I’d say if u can make plans do it xx
