Hi pleaae could I have a pp
I went for a scan at the EPAU I should have almost been 9 weeks, but baby only measured 6 (6mm). No heartbeat. 💔
Been sent home and told to wait a week before going back for another scan.
2 questions!
1. Has anyone had this and just dates been out?
2. If still nothing on Friday I’ll have to have a D&C or medical intervention, with it not coming away by itself! What’s everyone’s views on both?

Oh I’m so sorry to read this – I had the exact same thing happen to me. Same week, same size – unfortunately our dates were not out and our little pea had just stopped growing at 6 weeks.
I was very sure about my dates but still googled a lot in the few days we had to wait between the scans and there are stories with happy endings too!

I opted for the medial intervention where you have to take some tablets.
Oh and I fell pregnant so soon after again! Only 3 months later and had a perfect pregnancy and now have my little princess who will be 2 in August!
I had a missed miscarriage where I lost the baby but it didn’t all come away. I had to go for weekly scans before eventually it hadn’t grown and I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage. I didn’t have to have a D&C. I let nature takes it course. Sending you hugs xx

I was in the exact same situation… I chose medical intervention, took the tablets and then I ended up haemorrhaging and nearly bled to death. Which resulted in emergency D&C…
I’d just go for the surgery straight away. It’s not all that Traumatic really and recovery is straightforward.
I had my missed miscarriage at 13 + 6. Was actually measuring 9 + 4, I think.
However, on the flip side my 6 month old daughter measured 5 weeks when there was no way I could have just been 5 weeks. But she’s fine and healthy. So dates can definitely not add up, but everything be fine. Having been through it before I assumed it was happening again.
I chose to wait for nature to take its course. They said it had been so long that they’d recommend intervention. But I knew my body wouldn’t stay pregnant forever. That was on a Wednesday. On the Friday, the bleeding started. So my poor baby had been passed for 4 weeks. But, definitely better to have it happen naturally if possible.

I went thew the same in 2015 i went for a scan due to pv bleeding n my baby had no heartbeat i had to have a D+C i didnt get an option but my most recent one 2016 resulted in me taking the tablet the monday i got it confirmed and i took it at 11:15am monday by 3:40am the next day i was starting to loose the baby and had her at 11:25pm that tuesday night as was due to go for 2nd tablet on wednesday but my body dealt quickly with it and i was home by wednesday night after i had the plecenta xx
