Hi there, can I have a private post please?

Hi ladies,

I’m looking for a wee bit of advice. I’ve ended my relationship with my long term partner (10+ years). We have three children together. I ended due to DV and the most recent attack ended in court etc. That’s all finished now and I don’t want to reconcile.

The house is in his name (mortgage wise) but I pay bills etc. He’s basically demanding I move out and leave the house with him. Obviously I’m taking the children – that’s not negotiable!

Does anyone have any advice in terms of common law entitlement? Or family home rights? I’m happy to move out but it’s a huge upheaval for one let alone 1 plus 3 mini people and I’ve put a lot of money into it too!

Any advice is appreciated x
