Hi would is be possible for a private post please ?
Hi ladies im really worried.
I am currently waiting to go view a flat i have been offered and i applied for housing just for me and my 7 month old son and im also pregnant with baby number 2. I am still seeing the dad of my two kids but we dont live together and the plan was i get my own place for me and the kids. I said once he was in a full time job etc and was able to support us then he could possibly move in and obviously i would have to inform everyone that he is there etc. Since his mother has found out she is basically trying to kick him out the house etc bearing in kind atm he pays 40 quid a week towards the rent as he works in that house hold my question is if he does move in when i get my place and i have to apply for housing benefit will i still get it or not and what will happen to my money im really worried ajs stressed. I dont want to be one of those that applies for housing and then suddenly i have a partner if that makes sense. Our relationship has been very rocky so that’s why i wanted my own place with the kids. The only money i get from his is for my son which is 25 a week and im currently packing back a social loan as i used that to buy the things i need ready to move in !! I am so stressed any advice please ladies. No bashing please as this wasnt supposed to be the plan or how i wanted things to go x

  • So basically you wanted to be in a relationship with some one you have one child too and one on the way let the government pay for you and your children until you decide to declare that you are together once you are settled?

  • If u put him down as living there they will want all his work details and u will more than likely have to pay some or most of the rent. U can still sign on but u wil have to declare him living there to them too, u will still get ur child benefit but tax credits could change dependant on how much he earns x

  • My only bit of advise would be if you relationship is rocky make sure it’s only yourself that signs the tenancy agreement that way you always know you have a roof over yours and your children head
