Hiya can I have a private post please.
I think my little one has chickenpox as it’s been going around his nursery and today he has come out in blister like spots…he has eczema so I’m wondering is he allowed to have Calamine lotion on? I’m going to phone the dermatology nurse tomorrow but just wanted some advice in advance. Thank you.

Anti histamine for the itching and if you can find it calamine and aqueous cream (together) it is a wetter cream but doesn’t dry out the spots as much as calamine. You can also get virasoothe (or something) which I found good but its a bit more expensive xx
They say don’t put Calamine Lotion on them anymore as it makes them more itchy best thing to do it phone the doctors and get baby Allergy relief Medicine and that helps my little girl had them not so long ago and when when I was putting cream it was making her worse. Honestly best thing to do is leave them to dry out. Xxx
Do not put the lotion on u need the cream as the lotion infects them no ibrufen or Nurofen just Calpol piriton and calamine cream my girl has them and this is wot we’ve been told to use
My lg come out in them yesterday and i been putting the lotion on her not knowing that you shouldnt. Should i give her piriton instead?
My niece currently has chicken pox and has been having the lotion she’s been fine x
