If Your Child Constantly Has Nits It Is Neglect

If your child constantly has nits it is neglect.

If your child constantly has nits it is neglect at least this is what one mother is saying.

Jessica Stone 27 from West Yorkshire has taken to social media to plea with other parents to treat their children’s hair or be classed as a neglectful parent.

Stone said “Millie has been at school since September and caught nits 17 times yep you heard that right 17 bloody times, I use tea tree shampoo and conditioner, squirt vosene kids nit defence spray in her hair and tie it back and plait it, I check her  hair every night and treat it whenever necessary and sometimes even when im not quite sure if she has any.

However there is a little girl in her class whose hair is crawling with nits the school just sends out letters to everyone and this child is freely allowed to infest the rest of her class, the parents must know and choose to ignore it.

This little girl is only 5 so it’s down to her parents to treat her, they are deliberately neglecting her, in my eyes it’s a form of abuse, if they can’t care for her and treat her nits they shouldn’t have her”.

Many people commented agreeing with her and said there is no excuse not to treat a nit infested head whilst others said that combating nits is a losing battle and maybe the mum is doing her best or struggling to deal with it or maybe just doesn’t know how to rid her child of nits.

Stone added a comment  “if the parents can’t afford to treat her hair regularly then they should just shave it all off, or maybe stop smoking and buy the girl nit stuff instead”.

What’s your view is having regular nits a form of neglect?
