I’m wanting relationship advice. I’ve been with my partner 6/7 years and it’s not been working for a few years now. He’s cheated, gambled all our money (£16000+) lost our family home, controlling, doesn’t show any interest in our children and so much more!! Recently one of his best friends has rented our spare room. Over the past few months we have gotten really close and started to have feelings towards each other. He’s appalled by how awful my partner treats myself and our children! And has said that he wants to start seeing each other once I leave my partner. But it all just feels so wrong! Even though my partner is a complete a**e hole and I have been wanting to leave him for a while now but don’t want to ruin Christmas for our kids. And even though me and his friend haven’t actually done anything with each other at all. It all feels dishonest and feeling like my partner will be really hurt and not believe that nothing happened while we were still together. His friend is amazing with my children, and puts more effort into spending time with me than my partner has ever done!! I just don’t know what to do! Xx
