May I have a private post please. Just need some help as what I’m meant to do or say! Me & my partner have a beautiful little girl, we are also due another girl in august.
We’ve always had issues with his side of the family. His mum has never wanted to get involved with us or our daughter. Yet she’d dropped everything for her other granddaughter, even if I had a hospital appointment and she was due to have our daughter, she’d make an excuse not to. To find out she ended up seeing the other granddaughter. We had a family talk & she promised to make more of an effort when our 2nd arrives. She’s been all excited & helpful. Until now, my partners brother with the other granddaughter have announced they are having twin boys, due 3 weeks after us. She’s now been ignoring us, refusing to have our daughter, not interested in our girl on the way. I’m upset by this, but I’m hurt more seeing how upset my partner is. I know it’s not jealously, but I think more upset he’s lost his mum again. I’ve not a clue what to say? What is right to say? Sorry such a long post! Xx
