Need some advice about nursery regulations please.
My 16 month old had a fall at home last week and bumped the side of his head on our coffee table resulting in a bruise on his ear. Today my partner has taken our son to nursery and they have asked him to fill out ‘an accident at home form’. Im just wondering why they would ask my partner to do this when the accident happened at the start of last week and it was at home so has no relation to the nursery. Just seems a bit odd to me, I would call the nursery up and just ask but I’m worried that then they will start to suspect something suspicious because I’m enquiring.

I think they have a duty to look out for any signs of injuries and explanations as to how it happens, it’s just to protect the child. I think it’s good that nurseries and schools are keeping check on things like that tbh x
Its all in the “rules and regulations” to show they documented the injury and that it cant be blamed on them or that the injury occured at nursery. I have 3 kids and had to do it many times lol fone if u want clarity
Just protecting themselves in case you said that it happened at nursery
