Please can I get a post?

My partner beat the crap out of me last night. It wasn’t just a little beating it was full on strangled me to I blacked out it all went on for about an hour it was the worst experience of my life. I kept trying to get away to call police but he wouldn’t let me my son was sleeping in the next room and he told me if I left the building he would cut the gas pipes and take his son to the grave with him. This morning he was removed by his mother who took his things too. However she blames me entirely and was not even a little bit compassionate to the state I am in. I am battered and bruised but I think she thinks I’m lying. I haven’t called the police simply because I’m worried they won’t believe me. My partner (now ex) drilled it into my head that if I tell the police they will take my son and in his words “you’ll have nothing left to live for” he kept telling me he was going to kill me and make it look an accident. Anyway so he was removed this morning and I’ve heard nothing from him since. It’s just what do I do now.. he cannot see my son without being in a contact centre as I do not trust him and I believe that him and his mother will make up lies about to try and get their hands on my son. I have never once said that he won’t be able to see his son I just think that at the moment he is a threat to himself and my son is not being in his care. Shall I call the none emergency police number and report it? I’m at a complete loss of what to do someone please advise me. I’m completely broken in 2 and feel as if it can’t get any worse at the moment.
