Please can I have a private post.
My little boy will be 3 in January, he has speech delay and says no sentences at all but knows lots of words. There is nothing wrong with his understanding.
He started nursery (2 mornings a week) in September. Nursery have said they have had incidents where he has tired to bite other children over toys. Assuming as this is because he can’t say what he is feeling or thinking.
Nursery have been amazing and said they will give him more one to one time to encourage his speaking.
I feel horrifically guilty that he is doing this. He doesn’t do it at home at all. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this?

My daughter was like this,the nursery aaked if they could get speech therapy involved which were and now my daughter doesnt know the meaning of quiet lol. He will soon pick up loads
My daughter was the same way.. take him to the Dr and have them refer you to a speech therapist. My daughter did speech therapy twice a week for 6 months and she now can talk in sentences. Some kids just need a push. Don’t feel like your child needs help, cause it’s not like that. It’s just some kids need a little push to start talking.
Sounds like frustration if he doesn’t do it at home. Obvs when he’s at nursery there’s alot more kiddies to share with but sounds like ur on the right path of helping him
