Ppp, my son is 4 and a half, he has a teddy he sleeps with. He’s had it for about 3 years and it’s the only thing he really has a comfort to him. He plays with the label on it at bedtime and always has every night for years until he falls asleep. Recently his dad has came back into his life and thinks he’s too old to have it and my son has told me dad calls him a baby for having it. I’m actually really hurt he’s said this. I don’t care how old he is going to sleep with a teddy. (Can I add he doesn’t take this teddy anywhere, just to bed at night and that’s it)
But now when I put my son to bed he says “mum is Dad coming up, because he’ll say I’m a baby for having my teddy”. I feel awful and it really bothers me that his dad feels this way. What’s your opinions?
