  • Most airlines won’t let you fly beyond 28 weeks.. without a note.. But doing to a country that has ziki they point blank won’t let you at all.

It’s mainly because there’s a higher change you could end up in prem labour in another country and you wouldn’t have the insurance since its classed as a pre-existing condition.

I would seriously consider not going or changing the dates til later which might cost you money but it means you won’t jeopardise your unborn bubba or yourself.

  • Most airlines won’t fly you past 30 weeks but sometimes you can get a doctors note to fly.
A doctor would never sign you safe to fly to a ziki virus country and no insurance company would touch you as it states pregnant women shouldn’t travel at all to them country’s at risk not worth the risk to your baby.

  • You certainly can fly after 28 weeks but need to check the airlines rules and then have a gp’s fit to fly letter confirming you are healthy and pregnancy is non complicated etc. 8 years ago I went through this as was due to fly long haul at 36 weeks. Obtained my letter from gp on a Friday morning. Went in to labour and gave birth at 35 weeks just three days later. After a completely normal uncomplicated pregnancy. It’s risky in the later stages as you could go into labour early but of course you may well not do either. Sorry don’t know about the zika situation. And congratulations 🙂

  • Check with the airline hun, i was stopped from boarding a flight home from holiday and had to prove i was only 24 weeks (i do carry large) before they let me fly back – was told insurance wouldn’t be valid an unsafe ! X

  • Why would you want to go into a country with the ziko virus and risk the health of your child? I highly doubt they’d sign you off for flying at 37 weeks anyway never mind in a country with the virus

  • Is this your first baby? I if it is a single pregnancy you can fly up to 37 weeks (32 if multiple)

  • You can’t fly after 28 weeks and if you do some how persuade a doctor to let you, your insurance will be ridiculous xxxx

  • You can with a note but risky. If you go make sure you have insurance that covers you as having a baby can be expensive x
