Hi I would just like to know if anyone has some advise for me. My wife is suffering from severe depression and social anxiety. Due to this she doesn’t want to leave the house and struggles to socialise and therefore doesn’t really have any close friends. Over the last few months things have got significantly worse and she has these uncontrollable outbursts of built up anger and emotion usually focused at me as I’m the only other adult around. I work long shifts so she is home alone or with the kids for long periods of time. In the recent months she has repeatedly said she cant cope anymore and she wants the pain to stop and wants to die. Today she had an emotional episode and smashed up the bedroom, I found her in the bathroom with a shard of glass in the hand. She says no one can help her and she’s tried medication before and nothing works, Ihave tried to get her to speak to a professional but due to her social anxiety it’s hard and I can’t force the topic as it might trigger another episode. Please help I’m at my wit’s end and don’t know what to do for the best. She thinks I hate her, but nothing could be further from the truth, I love her with all my heart.
