Ppp
I have just moved into a rented house. I have a one year old and due again and about five weeks. Last night I noticed, what ive worked out with help from google is silverfish in my bathroom. What can I do now? Im fuming? I wanted a nice new place for my children. Ive spent the time since I got here scrubbing the place and decorating and I just feel like its one thing after the other. What can I do? Can I ring the estate agent and make them deal with it? Any advice please

  • They like moisture. They’re perfectly harmless. Just try to air the bathroom and leave the fan running for a bit after a shower/bath.

  • Put some bread in a jar covered in masking take, they will get in to eat it but wont be able to get out.
I had them in my first flat, landlord doesn’t have to do anything coz they won’t cause any harm, but they make you feel dirty and I couldn’t hack that feeling, no matter how much you scrub it wont make a difference, you can also get sticky traps and out them round the edges x

  • They come where there’s moisture it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the house and cause no harm, my mums house would get them all the time and her house is lovely, clean and well looked after x

  • If you’re renting that would probably fall under your landlords responsibilities to rectify
