I have just moved into a rented house. I have a one year old and due again and about five weeks. Last night I noticed, what ive worked out with help from google is silverfish in my bathroom. What can I do now? Im fuming? I wanted a nice new place for my children. Ive spent the time since I got here scrubbing the place and decorating and I just feel like its one thing after the other. What can I do? Can I ring the estate agent and make them deal with it? Any advice please

They like moisture. They’re perfectly harmless. Just try to air the bathroom and leave the fan running for a bit after a shower/bath.
Put some bread in a jar covered in masking take, they will get in to eat it but wont be able to get out.
I had them in my first flat, landlord doesn’t have to do anything coz they won’t cause any harm, but they make you feel dirty and I couldn’t hack that feeling, no matter how much you scrub it wont make a difference, you can also get sticky traps and out them round the edges x
There’s nothing wrong with the home they just happen to come now and again mainly in bathrooms for the moisture they ain’t nice to see running around only way I stopped them was every time we used bathroom was dry everything including pipes with a towel but we still
Got them come from under the bath x
I have them in my flat dont think there anything you can do? I constantly put crystal powder or mr muscle down the sink once a week i havent seen them for weeks although i saw one other month amd got rid of ot xx
They come where there’s moisture it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the house and cause no harm, my mums house would get them all the time and her house is lovely, clean and well looked after x
Everyone has silverfish, if they say they don’t, they’re lieing. They are usually in bathrooms around the sink. They come out at night too, so some people might not even know they have them. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/silverfish-how-to-get-rid-of-them-prevent-an-infestation-203055

If you’re renting that would probably fall under your landlords responsibilities to rectify
