  • I was going to go back to my old job doing 12 hours (due to expensive child care) when my second child was born but even the lady in the job centre said it wouldn’t be worth it unless I done 16+ hours as unless it’s a well paying job (which it wasn’t) i’d have been getting less money 🤷🏻‍♀️. So I guess it depends on the wage. If it’s minimum or not far off it might be worth trying to find a 16+ hour job instead x

  • When I did 10 hours I had to move from income support and onto job seekers even tho I had a job. They paid so much as well as what wage I got. They don’t take into account £20 of your wage if it’s low. You would still get tax credits and cb though. I managed but in end went for a 16 hour job then you can get working tax too x

  • I work 16hrs a week get child benefit child tax and working tax the more hours you work and pay ph the less money you get but child benefit and tax stay the same. So basically you just come off income support. If you need anymore help you can inbox me. X

  • You will be changed to jsa. As its under 16 hours a week you should get a small bit of jsa, you will still get child benefit and some child tax depending on how much you earn x

  • under 16hours youll still get your child tax but wont get working tax and youll still get housing benefit paid too. bear in mind that if you’re not on working tax the benefit cap will still apply to you also x

  • You would still get something as it’s less than 16 hours, you will still receive child tax and child benefit not sure about income support depending on how much you would get x

  • If your a single parent you need to work 16hrs+ to get working tax but you’d still get everything else. I think you can earn £90 a week before the take any income support off you
