Anonymous please. When I was a child I was sexually abused. Obviously as a result my life has been difficult but you have to carry on as I have my own beautiful family. As a comfort I still suck my thumb. Well one of my friends has just left her husband as he hit her son who is 12. The boy has started to suck his thumb again even though he gave up when he was 10. I have tried to explain to my friend that he is going through a hard time and wants something he remembers as being nice. We have had an argument about this etc. Anyway I’m just wondering what I should do next and whether other people have older children who still suck their thumbs so that I can explain to her
