Can I have a pp please
Hi girls
I’m 20 weeks pregnant & expecting a little boy💙 I’ve been thinking about what we need recently and we’ve got a perfect prep machine, we’re getting the heart monitor sensor to go under the mattress, is there anything along them lines you guys found useful?tia

  • Can u reply to my post please
I’m going to get the heart monitor sensor because it gives me peace of mind and I’ve already got the perfect prep as it makes a bottle at perfect temp within 2 minutes, kettle takes ages to boil and cool down x

  • I personally wouldn’t use either the monitor or perfect prep machine. The monitor can lead to more stress and I know a few babies who have become ill from using the perfect prep machine. Nothing wrong with the good old fashioned way x

  • I would honestly say that both items you mentioned are a total waste and really not needed. I would strongly recommend getting to a local sling library and investing in a decent sling/wrap. You’ll need it for the 4th trimester.

  • Definitely the prep machine, we loved ours!
(Used it straight after baby outgrew feeding from the 1st size pre-made bottles of milk)
The only monitor we used was the snuza hero clip on monitors, as they vibrate to disturb baby if no movements detected, then they sound a alarm if still no movements after that… Stops the panicking of alarms going off falsely!
Also get yourself a good chair for baby… We had the 4moms mamaroo for our son & it was a godsend, he loved it, yes it’s expensive but look second hand & you may get lucky!
Or the nuna leaf are good rocking chairs too!
Perfect for when you need a few mins without having baby in your arms!

  • Agree woth the heart monitor. There has been plenty of times these have failed and scared the living daylights out of parents for no reason at all. Id get a video monitor. I dont really think the prep machines are any good either to be honest. Kettles are much better. Xx

  • I have a prep machine and a sensor mat and would recommend to everyone. We also have a Snuza monitor but only because our son was poorly at birth and was in special care so we were super neurotic when he came home. Only other thing that I use a lot is Muslin clothes. Amazing for everything! Always have one under babies head incase of any drools or bits of milk that want to come back up x

  • Why don’t you buy a video monitor instead of a heart monitor they are not that big and if baby rolls off the alarm goes. A baby carrier defo, moses basket, baby bouncer our little one didn’t like a baby gym he preferred the bouncer.

  • Dummy clip, white noise teddy (such as Ewan the sheep or MyHummy), swaddle blankets, plenty of bibs and blankets, a personal fave for our lil boy is a play gym (he’s 5 months now, used since about 2 months). I could name a few more but say there our top few 😌 congratulations x

  • A prep machine is a must have! We’ve had it since my boy was born and he’s not got poorly from it once, I take the back off and check it regularly! I also have a myhummy and oh my god I wouldn’t be able to live without it now😶 x

  • I wouldn’t buy the monitor, your baby will be fine and all it does is fill you with worry, they’re better for prem babies x

  • I used a baby carrier for my little boy so I didn’t always have to use the pushchair. It was a god send wen we went just to the supermarket x
