Can I have a private post please…so years ago i got abused and raped by a close family member. I told the school and they informed the social Services who obviously spoke to my family but instead of my mother being supportive she told me she hated me for being a liar and I basically had to tell everyone I was lying for them to be ok with me (which I did)… now the person who did things to me has always been around me and my children (NEVER UNSUPERVISED) I just learnt to deal with it so i had my family but he’s recently been arrested and currently in jail for rape.. today I got a call asking about my kids and contact etc which I told them the truth he has been around them but never alone.. they wouldn’t tell me exactly why he’s in but I found it strange that they contacted me.. they are coming out next week for an assessment which I’m not bothered about as I’ve always been extra cautious around my kids safety for obvious reasons.. I’m just wondering if what I said back in school about being abused would be still on their system as obviously it’s going to cause red flags and I’m now scared it’s all going to get brought up again? I don’t know how I’d cope with it.
