Hi all can I have some advice, it’s not for me but a friend. My best friends partner has just found out he’s a dad to a 8 year old, he had no idea, two other people have been assumed to be the father before it even got to my friends partner, he is willing to pay for his child, what Im asking is can she back date child maintenance to when he was born? She threatening to do this if he doesn’t pay a certain amount that she wants each month. Please note he did enquire about being the dad when the baby was born but she was adamant he was not and he was told to stay away.
