Hi could I have a private post please. My 5 year old son has all of a sudden started wetting the bed, in the past 2 weeks he’s only had about 2/3 dry nights, it’s constant washing of bedding! I always put down a towel then a mattress protector and then his mattress cover but it’s still starting to ruin the mattress, every morning I’m having to strip the bed and scrub the mattress just so it doesn’t start to smell of wee in his room! I only bought him a new mattress about a month ago and feel like if it continues I’m going to have to pay out for another one very soon!
Does anyone else’s 5 year olds wet the bed? As it’s starting to concern me, he’s had no change in the last 2 weeks of his routine to make him feel anxious or worried and his last drink is with his dinner at around 4.30 and he’s in bed by 7! I speak to him about his bed wetting but I never tell him off for it as it’s something he’s obviously not been able to control and don’t want him to get so worked up about it that he worries and carries on doing it! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks x

Could be the anxiety of having one accident triggering every night, or scared to go to toilet because of the dark. Get some night time pants which go up to 12years, it will help him gain his confidence back and also save ur washing, it’s more likely to be a faze that will come and go as he gets older.
Use a pull up instead also before u go to bed wake him up for a wee
