My just-turned 3-yr-old is constantly asking to go for a wee when we’re out. Literally every car journey, no matter how short, every shopping trip, in every shop it’s “I need a wee”! I was in Sainsburys yesterday, took her for a wee, walked to the clothing section, picked up a pair of pyjamas and she said “I need a wee again”! I said “you can’t possibly, you’ve JUST been” but she insisted she was desperate. I managed to fob her off by saying she could go on a ride and have a wee when we got home and the ride seemed to distract her, which shows she didn’t actually need to go. She doesn’t do it at home, I’m baffled as to why she does it when we’re out! On our way to see Father Christmas yesterday, in the middle of rush-hour motorway traffic she’s shouting “Quick, it’s coming out!” and we had to divert off a slip-road so she could go on the roadside. She knew it was going to make us late but she wasn’t bothered. At a loss as to what to do about it and totally hoping it’s a phase.
